Woodlands Strength Certified Powerlifting Coaches

Woodlands Strength and Conditioning is proud to announce that Jessica Belt, Tommy Hastings, and Justin Dubs have passed their examinations to become Certified Powerlifting Practitioners from the National Academy of Strength and Power.  Completion of the Course allows recognition by the United States Powerlifting Association as a Certified Powerlifting Coach.   The certification process requires attendance at a weekend course with live instruction that covers materials from the NASPOWER written materials.  Topics include biomechanics, kinesiology, evaluation and assessment, exercise technique, nutrition, sports psychology and many others.  After the course, participants have five weeks to master the voluminous written materials before taking a written examination.

Woodlands Strength and Conditioning hosted the first ever NASPOWER Certification course in Texas on the weekend of October 4, 2015.  WSC was chosen to host the course based on its reputation and facilities.  Participants traveled from several states to attend the course which was instructed by Tom Delong, the Director of Science Education for USPA.

Jessica Belt, Justin Dubs, and Tommy Hastings are personal trainers at Woodlands Strength and Conditioning.  Their focus is on general fitness, athletic performance, and elite strength athletes.  They accept single and group clients looking for personal trainers, fitness, and strength in The Woodlands and Spring area.
